Berliner Fernsehturm and Neptun Fountain

Berliner Fernsehturm (The Berlin TV Tower) is a well known landmark in Berlin. The TV tower is located in the center of Berlin close to Alexanderplatz. In the immediate vicinity of the TV tower you can view the beautiful Neptun Fountain.

Berliner Fernsehturm
Berliner Fernsehturm was one of the most prestigious projects by the former communist regime in Eastern Germany. The TV tower was built in the period 1965 - 1969, and the tower is with it's 368 meters the tallest building in Berlin. You can enjoy the view by visiting the rotating restaurant in the sphere or the visitor platform.

Neptun Fountain
The Neptun Fountain was built in 1891. The fountain was originally placed at Sclossplaz, but was moved to it's present location next to Alexanderplatz in 1969. The greek god Neptune (Poseidon) is seated in the middle of the fountain surrounded by four women, who represents the four main rivers Elbe, Rhine, Vistula and Oder in Germany.
